With long-stretch white beaches, a great party scene and an overall chilled out vibe, San Diego is the place to be. It is a city on the Pacific coast of California, known for its beaches, parks and warm climate. Immense Balboa Park is the site of San Diego Zoo – a world class zoo home to over 3,500 animals which represent over 650 species, as well as numerous art galleries, artist studios, museums and gardens.
San Diego is actually the eighth-largest city in the United States and second-largest in the state of California. It was one of my favourite places that I passed through during my travels along the West Coast of America. It just had a laid-back, surfer and beach vibe that everyone wants to grab a slice of. Everyone that I spoke to told the same story of how this is the place to be in California… and it was totally easy to see why.
Tourism today in the city is a big trade. This is probably the result of the city having a beautiful hot and sunny climate combined with a stunning coast and tourist attractions galore. It also has a big harbour where a number of famous cruise lines come and go out of the port. There’s no shortage of things to do here either. Whale watching is a popular activity that tourists enjoy as well as sight-seeing cruises.
One of the things I would definitely recommend doing if you visit is a ride on the roller coaster and you should definitely hike bikes to explore the city! If you’re the party type – there’s so many places to have a good night on the town. There’s also amazing food places there too… what’s not to love?
